UHURU/ RUTO’s Govt closes down MAINA NJENGA’s church indefinitely - Here is why
Monday June 9, 2014 - The Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, has closed down former Mungiki Leader Maina Njenga’s Hope International Church in Kitengela indefinitely.
According to the area police boss, Maina Njenga’s church was closed down in a bid to restore peace and security in Kitengela.
This is after the police and Kitengela residents accused the former Mungiki leader of using the church to kill Mungiki splinter group members who are demanding for the return of their property registered in Maina Njenga’s name.
The residents further accused Maina of being behind two mass graves discovered in Ketengela, where over 7 Mungiki adherents were murdered and buried secretly, threatening to demolish the church and evict him by force.
The move to close down Maina Njenga’s church comes only a few weeks after Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government through the police allegedly attempted to assassinate him for refusing to write a statement in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta at the ICC and to be his witness, an allegation that the Government has denied.
Only last week, Maina Njenga attended former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s press conference at Orange House after the CORD leader visited him at his Karen home following an attempt on his life.
The former PM has also given Njenga more than 10 Men In Black to protect him from Uhuru/ Ruto’s men who want to eliminate him.
