'I DO NOT WANT TO BE NAIROBI GOVERNOR" RAILA SAYS

RAILA ODINGA DENIES CLAIMS HE WANTS TO BE NAIROBI GOVERNOR

CORD leader Raila Odinga
Nairobi, Kenya: CORD leader Raila Odinga has denied claims that he is interested in being Governor of Nairobi should the seat be declared vacant.
Mr. Odinga through his spokesman Dennis Onyango clarified that the former Prime Minister is currently fully engaged in listening to the people of Kenya who are going through numerous problems, from insecurity, corruption and an ever rising cost of living. His interest is to be the people’s envoy and push the government to listen to Kenyans. That is more than enough to keep him busy.
The CORD leader reiterated his support for Governor Evans Kidero and wished him success in the court case facing him. He called on the people of Kenya to ignore the empty political chatter and stay focused on having the government address their concerns.
